Linked is my first NFT mint animated from my original painting "Taipei Starry Night", combining my favorite painting Van Gogh's Starry Night, and my favorite skyline of Taipei.
I painted this when Covid started in March 2020 and I was quarantined in my apartment in New York City looking outside the window and thinking about home, Taipei.
I've spent a lot of time in Taipei since learning about web3 and NFTs so I want to bring my personal favorite painting to life by animating it and minting it onto the blockchain as an NFT.
The piece sold for 0.828 eth, I rounded up to 0.866 wth for Taiwan’s area code (+886) and donated to the "Stand With Asians Community Fund" started by @pplpleasr, Uniswap, Endaoment, and the team at Stand With Asians to support grass-root initiatives in the Asian community.
Mt. Everest Milky Way

This was originally photographed at Mount Everest Basecamp, top of Kala Patthar when I hiked in the freezing dark to capture the milky way next to Mt.Everest in 2019. In 2020 I turned the photograph into an oil painting, and now from oil painting into an animated NFT.
